The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.


Roles & Responsibility:


  • Pre-matching & Settlement of Equities and Fixed income products for Global markets, involves interaction with agent banks and brokers across the globe.

  • Generate reports for customers and other internal reports including MIS reports.

  • Accountability for service quality of the team and ensure operational procedures is followed, that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Support the process Vice President in their mission to provide top quality operations in support of this global business

  • Ensure that procedures are documented and that the documentation is updated periodically.

  • Identify requirements for additional controls

  • Daily investigation and escalation of any issues

  • Provide daily/weekly statistics

  • Participation in global and local projects including new business, system enhancements and market rule changes

  • Process re-engineering to enhance efficiency and controls

  • Execution of daily business as usual (BAU) tasks/activities in the most efficient and highly control framework given the sensitivity and risk around FX processing.

  • Possess relevant experience across executing / managing Direct and Indirect FX transactions.

  • Understands and has worked in execution of Spot / Forward FX’s.

  • Possess understanding of Treasury v/s Agent (Off Book currency) FX’s.

  • Well verse with minimum market requirements / nuances existing across exotic currencies such as BRL, THB, KRW, IDR, etc.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of various regulations applicable to FX markets, such as ERISA, Dodd Frank etc.

  • Understands the workflow of FX market Execution-Pricing-Settlement.

  • Publishing / Review of Daily/weekly performance metrics pertaining to the function. Ensure follow up and escalate for all ageing items.

  • Perform systemic verification for all FX transactions in accordance to Authority Level Matrix (USD thresholds set in the process).

  • End to End responsibility of Custody Middle Office FX Processing function and to be in control of “End of Day” reports/checks and critical intra-day report monitoring and checks. Escalate to managers for any deviation.

  • Ensure timely review and certification of Custody Middle Office FX function Procedures and update procedures in light with market changes.

  • Create strong resiliency & backups within the team by active involvement in day to day activities and training initiatives.

  • Work as a backup for Associate (Grade 601) and provide inputs on risk eradication and efficiency to reduce manual workflows.

•             Define critical milestones and manage the associated project plans

•             Assist in shaping and collating presentations to Senior Management

•             Quantify and track the project delivery progress to plan

•             Ensure all risks to Operational Readiness are identified and managed

•             Manage risks/issues/assumptions/dependencies

•             Define the release tollgate process & criteria to assess readiness

•             Define, collate and track key metrics that highlight progress to date

•             Quality delivery across all elements of the migration is maintained






  • 7+ years of Experience in Banking and Financial Services/ Investment Banking Middle Office/Operations.

  • Familiarity with products and services.

  • Experience in Asset Servicing or Trade Management & Settlements.

  • Able to provide coaching and guidance on all aspects necessary processes

  • Strong Control & Audit mindset and understanding of policies/regulations in the industry

  • Good relationship-building and time management skills

  • Flexibility to work on shifts (APAC, EMEA or WHEM) / extended working hours on high volume days, if required

  • Ability to work under dynamic environment and under pressure to meet deadlines and productivity/quality goals

  • Good PC skills including Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Power point, Access)

  • Good written & spoken English communication skills, exhibits effective communication with key stakeholders.

  • Good investigation skills and desire to want to "resolve" queries

  • Deadline focused and able to work effectively to very tight deadlines

  • Good team player, keen to support the overall team delivery

  • High attention to detail

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Operational subject matter expertise critical e.g. Reconciliation, Settlements, Trade Support

  • Reconciliation's background would be a significant advantage as this evidences the ability to compare transactions/positions and to investigate and resolve differences

  • Client Service experience in Financial Services would be an advantage, as managing/liaising effectively with many groups is key to success

  • Drive, Energy and Enthusiasm

  • Display high levels of integrity; operate on the basis of open and honest interaction

  • Deep understanding of FX work flows and experience in managing FX processing function with minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Experience in handling global clients with customer service attitude.

  • Ability and experience in handling high transactional volume operations and ability to make correct business related decisions in stressful situations.

  • Ability to handle risk and quality related issues and experience in handling the same effectively to avoid reoccurrence.

  • Able to grasp/learn concepts and procedures quickly.

  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail ability.
