The Data Analyst unit manager will work on CRA data delivery and have responsibility for daily operation of the data mining and analysis activities across various initiatives within the Credit Bureau Ops Furnishing Team.  General responsibilities include; managing daily activities of a small team of analysts, data analysis and reporting to derive performance improvement opportunities, isolate root causes, and collaborate on viable solutions to provide recommendations to senior management.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage daily operational activities of small team of analysts.  Assign tasks and monitor performance.
  • Provide oversight and examination of operational and quality control processes including review and advisory consultation on scope, sampling, testing, reporting and effectiveness of controls and corrective actions.
  • Ability to understand, create and manage the basic (i.e. process maps / flows, rules matrices, mockups etc.) and advanced tools and techniques of business analysis (i.e. data matrices, contextual level data diagrams, system interface diagrams etc.)
  • Interpret, understand and write technical documentation.
  • Responsible for credit bureau rejects and transformations of furnished data including monitoring and reporting on resolution.
  • Interface in various forums to report on project and program milestones and present project needs and technical knowledge.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders and provide consistent follow up on the status of issues
  • Effective at complex problem resolution and expected to assist in resolving all difficult issues.
  • Design management reporting packages to communicate business result transparency to all constituents
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and translate metric performance across functions and across different lines of business
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for partnering with various levels of the organization and influencing results
  • Ability to streamline data inputs in order to turn around timely analysis that drives business oversight
  • Employ statistical analytics techniques to analyze data and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
  • BS/BA required; quantitative focus / advanced study a plus
  • 3-5 years operations management experience
  • 3-5 years business/data analysis required, preferably in a banking credit reporting environment.
  • 1+ years in Credit Bureau Reporting, Credit Bureau Furnishing or similar discipline of data identification and management
  • Knowledge and application of successful business analysis tools and practices with practical experience
  • Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability
  • Strong familiarity with data manipulation and analysis in Python
  • Advanced-level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, VBA, PowerPoint) and in SQL query development
  • Experience developing complex business analysis models
  • Current experience using SAS
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills, especially in a fast-paced environment
