  • As a Portfolio Manager, you will be accountable for the planning, budgeting, delivery of Infrastructure projects for a LoB area in the Investor Services.
  • This will include direct interaction with Application Development and Production Management teams associated with CTO organization, indirect/influential management of resources supporting Infrastructure Projects for your portfolio.  
  • Management of a substantial Investment and Productivity budget (~$20-$30mm) for your Portfolio.  
  • Accountable to Senior AD Management (CTO, CBTs) for execution of projects within their portfolio as well as financial reporting/explains in variance, etc.  
  • Ensure strong project governance and reporting disciplines are adhered to reporting and tracking progress of the portfolio or projects while utilizing project and financial management processes and tools e.g. Project Server, iPlan, iForecast, iSoR (infrastructure Statement of Requirements) etc
  • Organization Partnership with other areas of Technology (GTI, Solution Architects, SA/DBA/Web/Storage/Networks teams, etc) as well as with Finance & Business Management teams.
  • Demonstrate driven delivery track record with strong application and infrastructure technical Subject Matter Expertise while influencing and guiding the design and implementation strategies with shortest time to market in mind
  • Work with Investor Services Infrastructure Management Lead, GTI CIB Aligned PM Resource Manager and Application & Infrastructure Solution Architects select appropriate solutions in line with Strategic GTOC/GTAC directives, communicate approach; present plans and gain sign-off from the business and IT leadership.
  • Identify and execute upon cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities in line with the CTOs vision and strategy.
  • Conduct project/phase kick-off meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
  • Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Manage the control self assessment process to assess gaps and develop action plans addressing these gaps.
  • Provide action plans to mitigate risk and help implement them, when applicable.
  • Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary.
  • Integrate TCO strategies into BAU Infrastructure management process – to drive a proactive TCO approach for new investment across Investor Services.
  • Analyze financial reports, trends to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate recommendations relating to business opportunities, investments, financial regulations and similar financial projects or programs.
  • Work with Production Management team to ensure proper operations turnover and SLA updates.  
  • Lead the post-implementation review evaluating project results, including client satisfaction.
  • 8-10 years of IT Project Management experience
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Excel Pivot Tables
  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies (distributed systems: Servers, Storage (SAN/NAS), mainframe and mid-range systems, networking (VLANs, load Balancing), functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups in a matrix managed environment
  • Experience in working with Outside Service Providers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
