Department Description:

The Treasury & CIO (CTC) Global Planning and Analysis group is responsible for managing the Annual Budget, Mid Year Forecast, Quarterly Internal Capital Adequacy and Assessment (ICAAP), CCAR, Risk Appetite and monthly forecasting processes. Planning & Analysis is also responsible for weekly financial updates covering Revenues, Expenses, Balance Sheet, Risk Weighted Assets and Capital. The group develops and maintains critical MIS reports which go to Senior Management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This group is the primary contact for interfacing with various Corporate Finance groups and Corporate Finance Senior Management to report and explain the financial results of the business. The group reports to the Global CFO of CTC and serves as an analytical resource to help senior management understand our business.


Analyst Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and understand any significant variances from budget/forecast and provide general financial update to Firmwide Planning & Analysis and Treasury/CIO senior management.

  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly actuals/forecast reporting.

  • Generate various performance reports that provide insight into the CTC P&L.

  • Provide necessary schedules/presentations for executive management for both external and internal requirements.

  • Press Release and Quarter end reporting support and analysis.

  • Consolidation of financial results: walkforwards, drivers, and P&L.

  • Work to identify areas to create more efficient processes within the group.

  • Ad hoc analysis


  • Background in Finance and/or Accounting

  • 1-3 years experience

  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic and analytical ability, be able to work independently and within a team, have excellent communication skills and manage through tight timelines

  • Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data to ascertain key facts and trends.

  • Self starter with ability to process and acquire information with limited supervision

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Previous experience with Hyperion Essbase management reporting software a plus
