The External Reporting Program Management Team is primarily responsible for managing the gathering and interpreting of business requirements for external regulatory (FRB, OCC, CFPB etc.) and non-regulatory (Rating Agencies, MBS Investors, Trustees, etc.) requests. As a Program Management Sr. Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the relationship with business and exam partners to document the requirements and interact with the project team that creates external reporting within Mortgage Banking.
Tasks may range from and not limited to:
  • Gathering, defining/translating, analysing and documenting Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Eliciting and assisting business interpretation of requirements based on internal business operations
  • Strategic planning and evaluating business policies/procedures of the organization to advance reporting solutions; prioritize requirements and create process modelling and mock-ups
  • Enforce requirements traceability and quality management techniques; help processing and answering queries on the data or give assistance to decision making from  a controller perspective
  • Compile, summarize, and generate information based on authoritative data sources for analytical purposes and presenting to all levels of leadership within the firm.
Required Skills:
  • Able to comprehend both mortgage servicing/operational requests and gather/document requirements to allow IT partners to produce accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ability use analytical methods and tools to assist in research to remediate data quality issues and enhance requirements.
  • Able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical.
  • Previous programming experience on Oracle and/or MS SQL Server is preferred - or related technologies that encapsulates SQL.
  • Able to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Regulatory and other External Reporting requests.
  • Able to lead and manage projects.


  • BS/MS degree with emphasis in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting or other quantitative/business discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in a process environment, preferably within the Mortgage Servicing or other financial services industry.
  • 5+ years experience in Business Program Management, MIS/IT Reporting and Analytics, or related area.
