The Compliance Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co. is responsible for the provision of compliance services to the Corporation. The Corporate Fair Lending (CFL) group is responsible for developing fair lending policy, fair lending training, conducting fair lending analytics, monitoring and testing fair lending compliance to ensure best practices across the Corporation.
This position would report to a CFL Compliance Manager who is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of Chase’s Fair Lending program in Business Banking, Consumer Banking, Private Bank and Commercial Bank line of business related to marketing, originations and servicing of lending products. The individual accepted for this position would spend approximately 70% of their time participating in forensic file reviews to confirm fair lending compliance. This work includes the re-underwriting of approved, declined and other non-originated loan applications or validation of consumer pricing identified as part of a Fair Lending comparative file review of credit loan applications. Review scope will focus on underwriting compliance with written credit policies, credit operating procedures and current fair lending regulations such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) or the Fair Housing Act (FHAct).
The remaining 30% of time will be spent on assisting CFL management with line of business compliance advisory functions related to ECOA, FHAct or Chase’s Treating Customers Fairly. Specific tasks may include the review of credit policies, credit operation procedures, product guides, pricing matrices, marketing material and/or other credit product related materials. The position would also include assisting on the oversight/guidance on Digital/Social Media related initiatives.
· Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience
· Good understanding of credit underwriting practices and Chase’s lending products.
· Good communication skills, both written and oral are essential since position involves frequent engagement with line of business employees and managers.
· PC proficient in MS Word and Excel is required.
· Working knowledge of various credit loan origination and servicing systems or automated underwriting.
· Previous experience in regulatory compliance, quality control monitoring or auditing is a plus.
· Spanish Bilingual is also a plus
