JPMorgan's Global Investment Opportunities (GIO) Group within the Private Bank seeks to provide sophisticated investors globally with opportunistic, absolute return investment ideas by facilitating institutional level execution across asset classes through a team based approach. The Strategist will support the GIO Group's Head of Investment Strategy.  Some examples of the responsibilities include:
  • Developing global macro, cross-asset investment views, creating original investment themes, and developing implementation and trade ideas
  • Working with Private Bank, Investment Bank, and institutional partners in developing investment solutions
  • Creating sales literature and presentations highlighting trading and investment ideas for both external clients and internal investment committees
  • Presenting and communicating investment recommendations  and trade updates to global salesforce
  • Maintaining databases used to manage and track investment ideas and updating presentations and client materials as needed
  • Assisting the GIO salesforce in one-off client requests
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other applications used to prepare client and internal marketing materials
Ideally, the candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of investment experience
  • BA/BS with strong academic performance
  • Highly organized with strong teamwork, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • High-energy personality with goal-oriented approach to projects
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environment and effectively multi-task
  • Experience within the financial services industry
  • Series 7 & 63 required
