Performance Consulting (PC) is a highly visible internal consulting team that supports JPMorgan Chase's Centralized Transaction Operations (CTO) organization and other strategic lines of business. The PC team's primary focus is to assist customers in improving their business performance by providing collaborative-based services including infrastructure support, problem solving, training and development.  PC includes six sub-units that support operational activities.  This role is in Business Information Services (BIS).


Team Responsibilities:

 The BIS Team provides actionable information, enabling timely proactive business decisions with the following responsibilities

  • Provides Management Information & Reporting at CTO and CCB level
  • Provides tools and metrics consulting to support CTO business units
  • Facilitates annual development of CTO-level Operating Plan and Scorecard
  • Serves as CTO Liaison to the Operations Metrics Portal (OMP)
  • Develops and supports SharePoint sites, intranet-based content, documents, tools to streamline operations, share information for Operations and our business partners
  • Provides business support services such as Performance Consulting Program and Pipeline Management to all PC Consultants and Customers


The ideal candidate will be a solid communicator and problem solver with a consistently strong attention to detail.  He or she has a background in business, reporting, MIS or technology. The candidate must be able to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment by delivering timely accurate results as the contact of numerous CTO and CCB wide executive level reports.



Individual Responsibilities:

This position will support Operations by:

  • Ensuring consistent high-quality and timely delivery of daily, weekly and monthly reports

  • Creating and maintaining documentation of various tools and reports

  • Learning and serving as subject matter expert on various departmental reporting tools such as Business Objects, OMI (Online Metric Input), DMA (Dimension Management Application)

Experience (required/preferred):


  • 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint (Access a plus)
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment; sometimes under tight timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills



  • Familiarity with scorecards and metrics
  • Database Experience (i.e. MS Access, SQL Server, Data Modeling Skills)
  • Understanding of some programming knowledge such as VBA is a plus
  • Understanding of CTO business units and their functions
