About J.P. Morgan Custody & Fund Services
Custody & Fund Services (CFS) is a business within the Corporate and Investment Bank that offers three complementary services: Custody, which provides safekeeping, settlement, asset servicing and trustee services; Fund Services, which provides accounting and administration services along with post trade compliance and portfolio reporting; and Liquidity & Trading Services which offers cash, FX, collateral management, securities lending and depository receipts services.
Role description
This role sits within the Business Control Office which supports the CFS business in EMEA and will be part of a sub-team focussed exclusively on CASS (the Client Assets Sourcebook).
The role entails understanding the UK FCA CASS rules and acting as a key business advocate in managing and resolving day to day CASS issues impacting the business. Work will be undertaken in conjunction with other team members, along with regulated individuals, Compliance teams and other functional partners.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Handling and resolving CASS breach assessments
  • Preparing regulatory reporting - the Client Money and Assets Return (CMAR)
  • CASS Resolution Pack (RP) maintenance and testing
  • Executing on business and operational remediation efforts and driving systems enhancements
  • Producing monthly CASS governance scorecards and obtaining senior manager sign-off
  • CMAR to RP reconciliation and a range of other day to day CASS related activities
Additional responsibilities will include project management to ensure all aspects of the CFS CASS transformation initiative are tracked, reported and effectively managed.
This role is varied and demanding and requires the ability to think strategically and partner with diverse teams to drive efficiency and process enhancement.
Your Background:
  • Working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework, notably CASS requirements is required.
  • A consistent track record in complex issue, risk and control and project management is essential.
  • Experience in Securities Services with a solid understanding of Custody, Fund Services & Trading Services product lines would be preferred.
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving, communication and process re-engineering skills who takes ownership, pays attention to detail and is able to prioritize multiple tasks across different time horizons within deadlines.
  • A good understanding of controls and how to apply them to different processes and businesses.
  • Strong PC skills particularly Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
