Within a technology organization of circa 3,800 IT professionals of the Corporate Investment Bank division, responsible for the development of software solutions for the CIB Back Office. Solutions span all asset types, from trade capture to the general ledger, including (but not limited to); trade management, settlement, cash management, reference data & accounting.
JP Morgan trades all classes of products within its Markets business (e.g. FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Commodities). The Settlement and Accounting platforms that process the transactions need to run 24 x7 for many legal entities around the world.
The Accounting technology team within the Markets Processing Central Technology group is currently developing a new Accounting engine (ACM 2.0) to account for the majority of the Markets transactions. The application needs to receive many millions of transactions per day, account for them based on schema’s provided by Finance and produce overnight feeds to Group ledger and Regulatory Reporting platforms
We are looking for an AD-Tester for the ACM2.0 implementation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, agile team members and project managers to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Setup and maintain Continuous Integration Jobs.
  • Setup and maintain production-like test environments.
  • Participate in Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning and Release Planning sessions. Advocate test priorities in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning
  • Interact with business owners as necessary to identify, interpret and document acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Create test plans, test cases and other testing artefacts as necessary to ensure a systematic approach to the quality of a new product or service.
  • Ensure test scripts are well defined, planned and executed by validating that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.
  • Effectively capture defects in the Defect tracking tool, communicate to the team, track and verify defect fixes.
  • Design, maintain, execute and report status on manual and automated test cases for functional and end-to-end tests.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage of unit tests, automated smoke and regression test suites.
  • Work with team members to proactively identify, communicate and resolve issues and risks that impede the execution and/or success of the project.
  • Able to multitask by working on multiple assignments.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer related field preferred with five (5) plus years of work experience as a Software Test Engineer.
  • Experience with Java programming and UNIX/LINUX (as a tester).
  • Solid Experience using FitNesse automated testing tool
  • Experience with Source code control systems: SVN/GIT
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Tools like Hudson or Jenkins.
  • Experience with agile methodologies; SCRUM and Kanban preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of software testing methodologies, estimation practices related to task durations to meet schedules in an agile software development environment.
  • Proven experience planning, developing and collaborating on test automation frameworks and test suites.
  • Solid knowledge of various QA methodologies including performance testing.
