As a Business Analyst I supporting Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) within the Centralized Support Services Team and as a part of the Reporting and Analytics Team you will be responsible for understanding, identifying, documenting, and prototyping reporting requests and the data supporting it. Part of this responsibility is to identify data sources, attributes, and their locations to build data dictionaries. Assist in determining what access and roles are required to access the identified data as well as the business defined logic required for the solution. You will create report requirement documents cataloging the identified components to a reporting request while communicating feedback and updates to business members and management. You will develop the mockup or prototype of the report and demonstrate the proposal to the business incorporating the received feedback into the requirements. The job role will also include participation in department projects and initiatives as needed including understanding and troubleshooting current production reports or vetting report enhancement requests. 
  • As a Business Analyst I, you will be responsible for building requirements and sharing knowledge to assist the maintenance of analytical reports and metrics developed in SQL, SSRS, Cognos or equivalent reporting tools and continuing to meet operational objectives
  • Partner with process owners to determine and refine reporting and analysis requirements
  • Analyze and recommend improvements for reporting portfolio performance
  • Identify and document business defined reporting requirements including business goals, type of deployment, request scope, stakeholders, target users, request benefit, service level agreements, risks, constraints, and request component prioritization
  • Participate in project activities including prioritizing, developing schedules, determining resources, preparing plans, data and documentation, and resolving issues
  • Collaborate with management and staff in the development and implementation of all projects and/or initiatives related to operational goals and/or process improvement directives
  • Document the logical flow of future state solutions while drawing comparisons to current solutions where applicable allowing customers to relate to the new design
  • Assist in the development, testing and implementation of ad hoc reports that enable data driven business decisions where needed
  • The ability to self-organize and multi-task is critical
  • Ability to closely adhere to internal policies, procedures and controls
  • Interpret and understand data requests and/or queries to support the business
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year experience with either SQL, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tool
  • Ability to interact with business users including management and translate business requirements into technical solutions 
  • Requires experience with report design and Business Intelligence functionality
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Prefer 3 plus years of prior experience in financial services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
