The team

Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Management business areas.

JPMorgan plans to fully renovate its Securities Processing technology platforms across multiple businesses (Equities, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage and Custody) and across all markets we operate in.

This is large scale change program to be rolled out over the next 3-5 years that will deliver significant change to both our trading business and operational teams.

The Role:


This role will be within a delivery team tasked with building an in-house Securities Processing technology platform globally, encompassing a Settlement Engine capable of supporting all global markets, an Asset/Stock Record, an Asset Servicing solution & a strategic Data-Warehouse to support all of the downstream requirements for Financial Accounting & Regulatory Reporting

You will work within the Securities E2E team as a hands on BA / Product expert and will be given the opportunity to leverage your knowledge to drive the implementation of strategic securities processing strategy


Key Responsibilities


  • Technology lead for a full E2E project delivery for a specific Market or Business group across settlements and asset record

  • Project management & oversight of the deliverables & resources distributed across many different technology teams across the front to back application stack.

  • Business analyst working closely with Operations, Middle Office, Regulatory teams & compliance to define the functionality required to support a Broker Dealer business.

  • Partnering with multiple operations & technology leads globally

  • Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions, user stories, wireframes etc.

  • Define cutover strategy from legacy to strategic platforms.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management in technology, middle office & front office

  • Participation in large-scale “highly-visible” SIT/UAT testing cycles managing technology and business stakeholders

  • Training of relevant teams prior to go-live of new business processes/products, functionality or applications

  • Produce implementation approach, timelines, go-live strategy.

  • Go-live support, investigation of issues.





We are looking for someone who has a passion for UX along with experience in financial markets. Being a SME in Securities processing across Cash Equities & Fixed Income you will have a proven track record of working on complex technology projects. 

Essential skills

  • End to end lifecycle of financial Products knowledge - Cash Equities or Fixed Income
  • Experience and/or willing to be involved in the technical detail of projects and systems in terms of analysis, modelling and problem solving:

  • Sybase

  • Java

  • Python

  • XML

  • FIX

  • Experience in writing UAT Test Plans and/or Test Scripts, together with managing the user testing phase of projects

  • Proven Business Analysis and Project Management Skills

  • Experience liaising with Front Office, Middle office and Technology teams

  • Experience working in an agile team


Desirable skills

  • Hands on Technical Skills

  • Understanding /experience of challenges facing investment banking in emerging markets

  • P&L and risk management understanding an advantage
