Core Product Team – ServiceNow Integration & Technical Architect
The IT Service Management Program is a cross-LOB initiative to provide a single integrated platform to manage core IT Service Management processes and tasks. The program team will be based predominantly in Bournemouth and New Jersey and will partner with the selected vendor to deliver the program.
The ServiceNow Integration & Technical architect within the Core Product Team will be responsible for supporting the mobilization and implementation of a single integrated IT Service Management platform across all of Global Technology. Working closely with the Service & Technical Architect Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in: Helping to define overall service and technical architecture for the Service Now product and supporting internal platforms; Helping to define, document and agree core functions as well as application and infrastructure architecture to support SaaS; Ensuring GTAC & CTAC approvals; Supporting development of interface definitions and ensuring build activities adhere to service and technical architectures; Partnering closely with Data management team to ensure alignment to logical data model; Helping to mitigate and manage architecture-related risks and issues.

Role Description
This role will closely support the activities of the Core Product Team Service & Technical Architect Lead. Specifically:
  • Helping to define, document and agree the Service Architecture detailing the core functions to be performed on the Service Now platform
  • Assisting with defining, documenting and agreeing the Application and Infrastructure Architectures required to support the agreed SaaS based service architecture
  • Helping to ensure service and technical architectures comply with firm wide design standards (e.g. third party design patterns, etc.)
  • Helping to ensure Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are defined in collaboration with Product Owners for streams of work.  These will be used to drive appropriate design.
  • Helping to ensure integration between JPMC and ServiceNow components meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Helping to manage, and obtain required approvals for, the proposed service and technical architectures (e.g. firm-wide architecture governance  approval (Global Technology Architecture Council)
  • Helping to support development of interface definitions required to support the Service Now solution
  • Partnering with vendor and development teams to ensure build activities adhere to agreed service and technical architectures
  • Partnering closely with Data Management Lead and Analyst to ensure service and technical architectures are aligned with the logical data model
  • Helps to manage and resolve service and technical architecture issues and risks

Experience / Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline
  • A proven change agent with experience of supporting complex change initiatives impacting organizational culture and working practices
  • Experience of engaging with and managing a varied level of relationships - strong interpersonal and relationship management skills – able to engage with all levels of the organization and rapidly develop effective working relationships
  • Experience of motivating strong software development teams, and gaining their respect as an influencer, not a manager
  • Experience of assembling and presenting to senior technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Functional expertise in Service Management disciplines and/or the Service Now product
  • Strong technology background with experience of both development and support organisations, ideally within global financial institutions
  • Skills in integration technologies such as REST API, messaging, file transfer and patterns to make these robust.
  • Strong team player - extensive experience of working in, influencing and leading global teams across multiple regions and countries, enabling a ‘one team’ culture and a positive working environment, respecting the cultures and capabilities across locations
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to quickly broker solutions and resolve conflict situations 
  • Demonstrated experience in the Agile SDLC, as a participant and mentor
