Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. The Applications Developer will design, create and support objects in PeopleSoft CRM interface using an Oracle 12c database.  Interface with the user community to collect and document requirements for various projects. Additional development will be in Oracle, PL-SQL, HTML, Java and Javascript.


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 

  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement

  • Provides technical design, development and support for the PeopleSoft, Java and Oracle

  • Perform all aspects of development life cycle including design, development, unit testing and documentation

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues as they arise

  • Work with and assist QA, UAT with test cases and testing

  • Responsible for enhancing Chase Paymentech's Merchant Boarding Suite of products

  • Some on-call support may be expected

  • Create, troubleshoot and perform tuning on complex SQL, and PL/SQL queries

  • Enhance application code to improve the performance of searches and application performance in general

  • Work closely with the team to ensure the organization's standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvement and sustained delivery

  • Participate as a team member in all Scrum events

  • Work with the team, as a whole team, on all aspects of software delivery

  • Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years’ experience as a software developer
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience with PeopleSoft
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in PeopleCode hands-on coding including screen customizations and PeopleSoft Business Models (PeopleTools 8.54+ )
  • Minimum 2+ years Oracle, PL/SQL including triggers, stored procedures, queries, etc. (Oracle12c+)
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with CRM applications, Financials , HR or ERP
  • Minimum 2+ years Component Interface, Application Engine & Integration Broker Modules experience
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Java
  • Experience in Agile Methodology
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience coding in Java
  • Experience in PeopleSoft CRM 9.2
  • Expertise in Pega BPM / Oracle BPM
  • Experience in integrating PeopleSoft with third party system using SOAP enabled web services and restful web services
  • Experience in developing applications with one or more of the following languages: C, C++,ksh, csh, bash, PERL and Ruby
  • Experience with BMC ControlM scheduling system or similar scheduling system
