Reporting into the Director of Architecture for Chase Merchant Services, the Architect Lead position is a principle technical leadership role in the architecture organization responsible for developing technology roadmaps and plans for key business strategies supporting the Chase Merchant Services business. This role will specifically focus on the modernization of the technology infrastructure to support the future growth of the business.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and JPMC policies
Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies
Proven ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Support an environment that identifies opportunities to develop others through mentorship and leading by example
Adept at partnering closely with, and acting as a trusted advisor to, stakeholders across the firm in order to influence strategic priorities
Design an end-to-end conceptual architecture that allows for flexibility, resilience and rapid change, and can be delivered iteratively in an Agile manner
Creation of architecture artefacts including business context diagrams, conceptual, logical, security, and physical architectures. Data flow diagrams and entity relationships.
Work with IT and business units to create investable and executable technical roadmaps
Work with business stakeholders and gain support for critical technology investment decisions
Act as a key advisor to senior IT and business leadership
Support and adapt the architecture practice to Agile development practices
Scope and size technology investments
Evaluate technologies, vendor solutions and applications
Evangelize architecture best practices across JPMC in support of the firm-wide technology strategies
Manage the application portfolio lifecycle, and champion IT assets that can be leveraged across lines of business
