Role Description:


The Traditional Fund Services (TFS) Lead is an integral member of the European Fund Accounting Management team and the key individual in location with primarily responsibility for all operational deliveries from location and a requirement to own all operational processes and controls end to end.


The TFS Lead will be expected to ensure all deliverables are met within the Service Level Agreements. They will also be key in ensuring cross function partnership with all locations within the distributed operating model - building communication lines and ensuring all issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner.


In addition the manager will be the named operational PCF for the site liaising directly with the Central Bank of Ireland to ensure all Regulatory requirements are met.
 

Department Description:


 J.P. Morgan Fund Services provides services including Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Investment Operations, and Transfer Agency to mutual and pension Funds. The department is made up in excess of 100 full time professionals and provides operational service to multiple clients and fund types.  The team also manages BAU client relationships and is responsible to deliver both internal and external change requests

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead operational face to external clients in dealing with issues and change requests
  • Manage and develop a team of around 100 staff
  • Continually review and refine end to end operating model
  • Manage relationships with external regulators
  • Represent operations at both Ireland and worldwide risk and control forums
  • Ensure and be accountable for seamless operational deliveries across Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Investment Operations and Transfer Agency
  • Manage budget and headcount targets
  • Maintain an excellent and interactive relationship with internal partners including Client Services, Relationship Management and Product.
 

Skills, attributes & required experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Services
  • Proven track record of managing and developing large teams in a multi-national firm environment
  • Demonstration of strong control background and ability to enhance end to end operating models
  • Experience of managing relationships with external regulators
  • Adaptability to a fast paced, consistently changing environment
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships across the global franchise
  • Experience of managing a distributed operating model across matrix reporting lines
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting ability
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to react to high pressure situations in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Self starter with strong initiative
  • Results/detail oriented
