Credit Risk professionals are highly analytical and detail oriented. They must be experts in assessing risks on an industry, client and transactional basis. J.P. Morgan’s Credit Risk teams must apply their comprehensive understanding of their portfolio of clients and their macroeconomic environments and related industries, along with core credit analysis and decision-making skills to assess risk. They work closely with their peers in Investment Banking (ie. Client Coverage, M&A and Sales & Trading) on deal structure and manage the credit relationships with clients to deliver solutions that meet client's financial requirements within an appropriate risk/return framework.
Credit Risk Management – Argentina Credit Team
The Argentina Credit Team (ACT) was created in January 2010 to perform credit analysis on clients based in the Americas. In close partnership with its North American and Latin American teams, ACT monitors a portfolio of clients on an ongoing basis. This includes: industry research, client meetings, and portfolio and investor management. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Deep analysis of corporate financial statements used to assess client’s creditworthiness
  • Financial modeling and projections
  • Preparation of written credit approval memos, annual client reviews, and quarterly industry reviews
  • Assignment and/or review of internal credit ratings and set/modify credit facilities for reviewed clients
  • Track and communicate news, earnings calls, and changes that affect credit views of clients in portfolio
  • Potential yearly trips to JPMC IB headquarters (New York, Chicago, Houston, etc.) for business and/or training purposes
  • Meet with client to conduct customer due diligence


Bachelor’s degree or completing final year in Economic Studies (Economics, Business Administration, Finance) with grade average above 7/10
Excellent written and oral English skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Strong team player
Ability to handle work under pressure
Experience in the financial industry is a plus but not a requirement
Candidates must attach resume in English and provide average for Bachelor's and Master's degrees if applicable.
