The Role:

 

The Executive Director, Product Manager- Senior will work closely with the Group Executive to define and articulate the Chase Merchant Services core acceptance solution objectives, strategies and product development roadmaps for our core terminals product offerings.  The goals for this position will be to:

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the product strategy and create the product roadmap for Chase’s Class A terminal product offerings for the Merchant Services line of business, and manage a team of product managers to execute the product strategy.
  • Define the partnership strategy and create the product offering inventory and roadmap for Certified Class B terminal offerings.
  • Work with other senior leaders in the Product organization to execute the roadmap for Chase Merchant Services to deliver product capabilities necessary to maintain a leading acquiring position, both domestically and internationally.
  • Define the operational needs to support the terminal product roadmap and work with senior leaders within JP Morgan Chase & Co to create the capabilities necessary
  • Partner with outside companies (technology and industry) to create industry leading solutions for our customers.
  • Lead our efforts to influence terminal requirements and capabilities from our hardware manufacturing partners.
  • Leverage existing capabilities across CMS and JPMC to expand core acceptance solution adoption and create unique value added services for Chase customers
  • Translate ideas and/or concepts into viable business cases and scoping statements with clear and achievable objectives
  • Participate in defining the strategic vision, product roadmaps, product prioritization, execution and product support for acceptance solutions
  • Collaborate across the Enterprise Product team, and the broader CMS organization, to deliver against the Enterprise Product team’s objectives
  • Participate in overall CMS acceptance product strategy and leadership
  • Track progress of acceptance solution team objectives and goals

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in product management/development.
  • Solid understanding of payments value chain and commercial requirements around payment processing
  • Relationships with payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc) and terminal solution providers a plus
  • Strong P&L responsibility and people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Background in acquiring/acceptance/payment processing and/or network products
  • Background in product development processes and project management processes
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle and deployment of new payment solutions
