J. P. Morgan Chase is looking to recruit a Team Manager/Assistant Vice President to manage a team of employees supporting the JPMorgan Hedge Fund Service Fund Accounting Team in the Worldwide Securities Services Operations (Bangalore/Manila).


This individual will be expected to work as part of a very diverse and dynamic team to ensure the activities for the Hedge Fund Services Fund Accounting team are accurately processed into the system without errors & to diligently follow the JPM code of conduct.


Key Competencies


  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Solid knowledge of Hedge Funds and Private Equity funds preferred
  • Review and signing off on NAV files including compliance with all controls
  • Work closely with various business units and partner with operational teams to meet deadlines and identified efficiencies
  • Ensure resources are allocated in the most efficient manner possible to meet client deadlines including holiday coverage, absences and competing resource demands
  • Provide training, coaching and mentor of team members ensuring mobility opportunities and career growth for staff
  • Ensure technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner
  • Work with technology to resolve any issues and improve processes
  • Work closely with legal/compliance to ensure all funds are in compliance with the relevant regulatory authorities
  • Provide management reporting and key process indicators to manager as needed
  • Participate in projects
  • Identifies issues, problems and opportunities and determine whether action is needed
  • Navigate systems quickly and accurately
  • Ensure that all audit trails are verified and stored appropriately
  • Respond to routine questions or queries in a timely manner.
  • Validate appropriate controls are in place and all teams are in compliance


Skills Required
  • 5 - 7 years of Financial Services experience, some serving Hedge/Private Equity funds
  • Strong knowledge of hedge fund and private equity products
  • Strong  analytical skills
  • Strong  communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, concern for quality & accuracy and working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to develop a high performing team
  • Strategic thinker with ability to work tactically as needed
  • Excellent knowledge of investment and complex security processing
