JPM’s WM Investment Solutions team is seeking an associate level operational due diligence professional, based in New York. The team is responsible for performing operational due diligence on 3rd party investment managers on-boarded by our various due diligence teams (hedge fund, private equity, & traditional). This candidate’s primary responsibility will be to support the operational due diligence process for traditional investment strategies of US-based investment managers. This process focuses on the review of an investment manager’s operational infrastructure not limited to front, middle and back office operations, information technology and regulatory compliance.
 This candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the execution of an operational due diligence process tailored to mutual funds and separately managed accounts (primarily in traditional investment strategies)
  • Assisting in the presentation of operational due diligence findings to our global investment committee
  • Interacting with 3rd party investment managers to assess business structure, operational processes, valuation practices, compliance policies, technology infrastructure, and counterparty/collateral management
  • Maintaining detailed monitoring records both pre and post-investment including hosting and documenting regular update calls/meetings with investment managers
  • Collaborating with and performing due diligence on various service providers including fund administrators, custodians, depositories, trustees, prime brokers, and auditors
  • 3-5 years of operational due diligence, operations, audit, or similar hands-on experience
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems, and to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
  • Strong written, presentation and communication skills to represent J.P. Morgan to fund managers, internal audiences and clients
  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2
  • CFA or progress toward CFA charter preferred
