The Role
This is a production management analyst/associate role responsible for 1st level and 2nd level Equity Derivative front office application support in the Asia locations. As Hong Kong is the regional headquarters of Equity Derivatives business in Asia, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in a highly dynamic trading environment supporting flow across many Asian markets. The primary goal is to understand the business flows and provide expert application consultation and support to the Front Office Delta1, Flow, Exotics and Cash PT Desks.
The individual would also be provided opportunities to support our fast-growing Prime Brokerage desk.
  • Main business contact for day-to-day technology issues / requirements for the Equity Derivatives business.
  • Understanding the Equities Derivatives business flow and providing expert application consultation and support to the Front Office and Middle Office on Risk, Structuring and PnL systems
  • Interfacing directly with traders and senior business managers, assisting to resolve technical production queries and providing status updates during outages.
  • Developing key application expertise on the Global Strategic Equities Derivatives suite of applications, working with Global teams in London, New York, Mumbai and Buenos Aires.
  • Ensuring the operational stability of the application suite and making sure that system capacity is actively managed.
  • Understanding and adherence to local regulatory/compliance guidelines and best practices.
  • Understanding and adhering to Equities Change management & Problem management procedures.
  • Participating in Disaster Recovery, High Availability and Sustained resiliency events in support of applications and the business.
  • Ready to work in shifts starting as early as 7AM.
  • Being able to work effectively as a team and manages interpersonal relationships

Essential Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Equities Technology Investment Banking or vendor company providing trading solutions


Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Equity derivatives.

  • Experience of working in front office trading environment

  • Strong technical skills (UNIX, SQL, Python)

  • Rapid Application Development experience using Excel is preferable.
