Position Summary

 

J.P. Morgan is seeking talented candidates for a position as a Business Analyst in our Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) group, based in India. The Business Management Team functions as an internal business & metrics reporting and analytics group responsible for delivering highly quantitative and qualitative reports and analytics that support senior management agendas. An analyst on the team will have the opportunity to work on high impact initiatives leading to profitable growth across the MMBSI organization.

As an analyst you will be responsible for assisting the business in ongoing development and maintenance of BI tools, data management and reporting and analysis.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the business in the ongoing development and maintenance of BI tools
  • Assist the business with Data Management - understanding key sources, objects and models
  • Provide support on MMBSI business reporting requirements  
  • Create advanced reporting and analytics capabilities and outputs
  • Gather, synthesize, analyze and present data and findings in the form of presentations
  • Execute analysis and provide insights to identify issues and arrive at recommendations
  • Simultaneously work on multiple projects across MMBSI

Qualifications:

  • MBA (Desired but not mandatory) with 2-4 years experience in banking, and/or strategy consulting with knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Advanced skills using MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint tools - Mandatory
  • Advanced SQL experience - Mandatory
  • Experience in Development and maintenance of BI Tools – Mandatory (QlikSense / QlikView preferred but experience in any other BI tools will be considered)
  • Data Management – Understanding of data sources, objects and models
  • Experience in Hadoop – Desired
  • Ability to see a project from start to finish
  • Ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities to improve overall client experience
  • Team player and demonstrated work ethics - consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism in behavior and performance
