Position Summary
Data Quality on CCB Databases and Systems:
  • Research reported Data anomalies, identify root causes, and determine solutions
  • Perform Data modeling and Data analysis as required
  • Create, define, and maintain Data life-cycle documentation representing Data elements across multiple upstream and downstream systems
  • Communicate and collaborate with business partners to analyze information needs
  • Assist in research for the business units, and in collaboration with technology, and other support teams
  • Assist in the analysis of research results as solutions are vetted and approved by business and Sub LOBs     
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with Data Stewards and subject matter experts to research reported data anomalies, identify root causes, and determine solutions.
  • Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues, data gaps, identify and recommend solutions.
  • Perform data modeling and data analysis as required.
  • Create, define, and maintain data life-cycle documentation representing data elements across multiple upstream and downstream systems.
  • Act as liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams to analyze information needs.
  • Formally present the research results and recommended solutions to all stakeholders. Candidate must be willing to work on a flexible shift. 
  • Continual consulting on issues as solutions are implemented.

Knowledge and Experience
 
  • Bachelors degree preferred: Strong PC Skills required including MS Office/Excel.
  • 5 + years of business analysis/research/data mining/profiling experience.
  • Proficient experience in writing and understanding SQL queries utilizing any/all of the following data mining tools:
    • Toad for Oracle
    • Toad for Sybase
    • Teradata SQL Assistant
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, logical and strategic thinking.
  • Process flow analysis
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter, drive for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently, providing structure in ambiguous situations.
  • Develop strong partnership with team members and peers.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle and associated controls.
 
Unique Requirements Preferred
  • Responsive and capable of favorably reacting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in any of the following lines of business is ideal (i.e. knowledge on business rules/policies on loan life cycle, originations and servicing systems/applications, etc.)
